These treatments include counselling, medication, institutionalisation, hormone injections, and even electro-convulsive therapy and hormonal castration.

Rights of Minority who are LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Lawmakers, Politicians, religious and celebrities

  • A Lot of politicians, religious, celebrities, lawmakers and protectors of the law make statements or attack the LGBTQIA+ community with no knowledge of the troubles and concerns or any understanding of the community. They  mis-use their rights and popularity to make comments and remarks that have adverse effects on the lives of those who face bullying and hate from the cis-het population on a daily basis. We need a law that addresses this concern and restricts people who have no knowledge of the community to talk against it.

  • Remarks made by such individuals should be brought under scrutiny and such individuals should be held accountable so that such attacks on the community are not made.

Anti-discrimination

Some frequent examples of discrimination and other forms of oppression faced by the LGBTQIA+ community are

  • HIV/AIDS and health disparities,

  • governmental/bureaucratic barriers to transitioning (documents & surgery requirements)

  • economic and societal barriers to transitioning (the high costs of medical care and the frequent denial of care) and more.

  • Homophobia and Transphobia.

We believe that we as Indians need to have equal rights and in some cases, bring equality to all the masses in the hope of a better future for the LGBTQIA+ community. We believe that we are an inclusive Pride and not one that excludes some sects or people who don't believe in our beliefs.

What is the use of a pride where we do exactly what others do to us. This is not a place for hate speech or discrimination. Social & Political issues about LGBTQIA+ are our concern and we want to have this pride in order to fight for our legal rights.
